Daily Life of a student

We are proud of our program’s uniqueness and the flexibility it offers in creating tailored training and educational experiences for our students. While each shadow program plan will be slightly different, the following is a daily life overview of what you can expect as one of our students. Each week at Ridgeside K9 builds on the last, ensuring a comprehensive and evolving learning experience for our students. Here’s how you can expect your journey to unfold:

  • Introduction to Core Training Techniques: From the outset, you’ll be immersed in fundamental dog training methods, coupled with insights into canine psychology and behavior. This establishes a solid groundwork for everything to come.
  • Mentorship and Diverse Exposure: As you progress, you’ll be paired with a variety of professional trainers, each bringing their unique expertise and background to your education. This allows you to gain a broad perspective on dog training techniques and philosophies.
  • Hands-On Training and Application: With each new week, you’ll apply what you’ve learned in real-time, training 10 to 15 different dogs. This will enhance your adaptability and skill set across different breeds and behaviors.
  • Continuous Feedback and Personal Development: You will provide weekly summaries of your learning, highlighting areas you wish to delve deeper into or where challenges persist. Mentors and instructors will then offer detailed feedback, pointing out areas for further practice and ways to refine your existing skills.
